This is our "Land of the Free" country today. For the past few years I've been playing cat and mouse with this website NEXTDOOR.com. A circle pattern of me speaking to my neighbors about something a little more important than missing cats and garage sales and ND banning me.
I get it, I laugh.... of course NEXTDOOR doesn't want people like me (and there are lots) who are slamming this disgusting sham of a president. NEXTDOOR IS OWNED BY BILLIONAIRES!!!
NEXTDOOR wants to attract people under the guise of "neighborhood interaction" for one purpose. Advertising revenue.
They ban me. They ask me back. Why? They want me to see their non-stop, minute by minute ads about rain gutters, car insurance, etc.
I've asked them many times to leave me alone. I don't need this channel. But, when I do see my ND account back live (because of the spam I again am subject to) I try to get messages out to the people in my area, in Nevada A BATTLEGROUND STATE.
I live in kind of a quagmire or political variety. Carson City is the Capital and over the past decades there has been a huge influx of people from that bordering "ultra-liberal-radical-left"... California.
On our street there are educated, professionals who made the decision to move here to escape the high cost of living in California. Why is it high? Because it is an amazing state. California would be the 5th largest economy in the world if it wasn't tethered to the united states. But, there's a strip of Nevada, just about 10 miles wide on the border that is for all purposes California Gold.
Carson City, Reno and this "Cali-zone" along the border has a population of majority former Californians (like me). You can pretty much count the residences and 7 out of 10 will be so. On our street in North Carson City we have former high-tech Silicon Valley-ites, Police, Fire, Medical, Internet professionals, even a rocket scientist. But, if you drive just a few minutes south you will find yourself in a "Trumper land".
30 Minutes south of us you see the TRUMP VANCE signs. If you go there and mingle you will hear some regurgitated FOX NEWS bs. And, within the Reno-Carson-Minden zone there are Trump lovers too.
So, with this mixed, liberal slanted, demographic you have to expect some praise when you post anything opposing Trump or guns and a few other messages... Things like "go back to California you lame liberal piece of s**t I hate you, I think you stink, you're a homo-loving, mexican loving, pro-abortion, big mouth, son of a b**ch, I hope you die, pig, poo poo head, neener neener". OK, maybe I haven't gotten that exact response but the ones that I do see in the minutes before NEXTDOOR bans me are close.
My response is always dignified and simple "YOU NEED SOME ECON, POLSCI, HISTORY CLASSES".
I sometimes try to argue with these "Tic Toc educated" people but it just shocks me how pigeon focused thier thinking is. "I have the 2nd Amendment right to have 85 guns" ... ah, wish you had 85 college credits. "Trump speaks his mind and is getting rid of all those moochers"... ah, his mind is ill and these moochers you speak of... aren't you retired now? Some people call Social Security recipients moochers who are reaping from a "pyramid scheme".
I will tell you that in the past few months I have seen a change. The loudest pro-Trumpers seem to be becoming invisible. I'm not getting the in-your-face arguments... hmmm, maybe it has to do with the fact that Trump's presidency is proving to be the disaster I WAS WARNING THEM ABOUT!!!
Now, all you have to do with a Trump loyal is say "yea, how high have your Walmart bills been lately?", "Did he come up with a health care
