Commentary:

Whether or not you view our society as more progressive, advanced, humane and our standards of living better than our parents, grand-parents, great grand-parents is subject to how you are doing compared to the Billionaires.

A hundred years ago Billionaires owned huge tracks of land, factories and wielded powers against a milk-toast complacent government. There was only one other class of Americans. The laborers.

Fifty years ago after hundreds of thousands of Americans fought and died and won the World Wars there was a revolutionary class evolving in our country... the Middle Class. These people were the backbone of our society. They worked hard, reaped the benefits of our free society. Below them financially were the poor. Unfortunately.

Today, Billionaires own a heck of a lot more assets and that Middle Class has been losing ground. The Middle Class American's clout is slipping at the big table to the point financially they've joined the Poor. This is the "Middle Class Working Poor."

Bruce Gast coined this term circa 2001ish

The United States government has become a stronghold for the rich. They have infiltrated our Country's government with THEIR soldiers... the Lobbyists.

These "soldiers for the rich" are well armed with massive arsenals of money. Trillions of dollars are dangled in front of our elected "representatives". Our "representatives" are supposed to "represent" all of us. But the machine oils only the "representatives" that cooperate with the people who write the checks. MASSIVE CHECKS!

During the 1960's thru the 1980's the Middle Class saw small changes in our government. But after 1980 one political party seemed to embrace "feed the rich" ethics and they have GROTESQUELY PROFITED from that symbiotic relationship.

Like sucker fish sucking off the blood and flesh of large White Sharks Republicans have become very powerful with the help of the richest and their fundings.

I'm talking about TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS transferred between rich empowered people, usually existing as well organized "corporations". The lobbyists in the middle of the transactions and the Republicans feeding off the rich money tits.

Oh, then we have the poor Democrats.

Democrats are defined as the "party of the people". You know those under-voiced over-worked hard working Middle Class Working Poor I just mentioned.

Democrats in general don't have lobbyists whisking them away on corporate jets to island oasis's for "corporate education monetary appropriation symposiums".

No, in general Democrats travel back to their little necks of this big forest we call the USA and mingle with other Middle Class Working Poor who beg them for change.

or should I say... in this political climate Middle Class Working Poor are begging Democrats for "REPRESENTATION". We've slipped that far.

There will be some Republican fans who are scoffing at this post... they'll say "Hillary made inside money" "Obama lives in a mansion" "Nancy Pelosi gets her hair done". But, trust me, nothing NOTHING compares to the TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS that have filtered into and throughout the party of the rich.

Mitch McConnell has turned his 3ish million dollar salary over 25 plus years into APPROX. 27 MILLION DOLLARS!

Do that math. That's a person who is in cahoots with "lobbyists".

And, he's only one example in this Trump era where in front of our eyes, and behind the scenes the rich have been financially raping the Middle Class Working Poor... all while being distracted by hookers, porn stars, German banks, Russian hacks, animal slaughters, Climate Destruction increases... on and on and on.

Trump is nothing but a smoke screen. The Republicans who have been breathing in wealth for decades found their perfect diversion for becoming EV
