In case any of you political science fans have wondered what happens when one person is in charge of the White House, the Senate and the Judicial System you're watching it unfold.
Trump fired the Director of the FBI James Comey in the first months of his presidency. Comey stated he felt it was his refusal to pledge unquestioned loyalty to Trump's agendas. Stuff that would help Trump, like arresting Hillary Clinton for "emails" and then later Trump wanted to arrest Comey for "who knows what?"
Trump appointed people who would carry out his justice-challenged orders without question.
Rod Rosenstein took Comey's place. Rosenstein says he acted in accordance to U.S. law when he determined his opinion that Donald Trump's business dealing with Russia and possible crimes involving Trump laundering Russian Mob monies, to the tune of BILLIONS of Rubles just didn't warrant an official investigation.
Hey Rosenstein... REALLY???
The person who saved the day was Andrew McCabe. McCabe was able to set up the Russian investigations so that Rosenstein had to appoint a special counsel, Robert Mueller. McCabe was fired a few months after Comey just hours before his scheduled retirement. But, Robert Mueller's investigation continued. Or so McCabe thought.
Trump fired a bunch of other people in his first year. He wanted to send a message. To teach the "Law and Justice" people at our Federal Bureau of Investigation to heel.
Boy did they heel. Trump escaped being the focus of a criminal scandal like never seen before.
But this week, Rosenstein was outed for apparently appointing Special Counsel Robert Mueller only in an attempt to appear as if our justice system was on the ball.
During the two years Robert Mueller conducted his investigations American news was saturated with unconfirmed accounts of Trump's decades of foul business deals, questionable Russian associates and there was a high level of certainty Trump was as guilty as any mob crime boss in our country's history.
What Americans didn't know is Rosenstein basically told Mueller to report any hint of Trump's Russian crimes and collusions to the FBI. The FBI was apparently told to sit on those pieces of evidence until .... well until who knows? Never.
When the Mueller Report was released in it's redacted impotent form in 2019 McCabe and other people in the DOJ were shocked. Where was all the information about Trump and Russian Oligarchs? His grifty activities with Deutsche Bank? Money transfers? Hundreds of millions of dollars in Inappropriate loans that came from "questionable" money sources. (Drugs, extortion, murders, prostitution, sex trafficking... you know "law and order" stuff.
and, as we all suspected to hear in the Mueller Report... WHERE is the information about Trump and Epstein? Trump's secretive trips to Epstein's sex island? His alleged disgusting activities involving Russian Prostitutes???

Meanwhile, Trump was standing in front of thousands of cheering Trumpers at rallies, appearing at foreign meetings, public events and shouting:
"It was a hoax" "I'm innocent" "It was a witch hunt made up by radical Democrats" "I'm the law and order president"
on and on and on.

Soon after Comey and McCabe and other top investigators were out of the picture Trump appointed the "Big Bertha Bomb" of corruption...

With Barr in charge of ALL JUSTICE Trump had no opposition to contend with. Barr fired more "disloyal" people, he appointed Trump-loyal judges to lower courts, railroaded multiple investigations into all of Trump's other crimes...
