A good con man always dangles a payout for the mark right in front of his nose. Most cons are based on the human trait of greed. We tend to try to take the easiest roads to riches.
In this case Trump dangled a CoronaVirus tax break in front of millions of stressed Americans.
This and Trump's other executive orders he signed at his country club over the weekend, in between caviar shooters and "graft on the green" conversations are worthless.
Trump's four "blue sky" financial aids for Americans out of work might have well been printed on toilet paper.
1. Trump wants to give lucky Americans who were able to go back to work amidst the most deadly pandemic in modern history a "Payroll tax break". This turned out to just be a ploy to defund Social Security and Medicare.
Imagine that, millions of elderly Americans without Social Security and help with their mounting health costs... TRUMP IS INSANE!!!
And, the con of this "tax break" executive toilet paper order was that IF TRUMP WON HE WOULD TRY TO MAKE IT SO PEOPLE WON"T HAVE TO PAY THOSE TAX BILLS LATER.
Get it, this is Trump vs. Ukraine. Blackmail.
How about we abolish the Trillion dollar tax breaks for the wealthiest snobs? And, have them pay back the billlions and billions OF OUR DOLLARS they received to line their pockets and join $250,000 golf clubs!!!
Trump will have no intention of reversing his robbery of those vital public aid programs even if he is reelected. Programs that literally help people survive. His promises would be written in invisible ink. On Nov 4th if enough people were fooled and he was reelected he'd say "Aww shucks... no can do... you people over 65 just go die somewhere".
2. Trump wanted to order all Americans on Unemployment because of the virus to receive $300 from the federal government and $100 from the states.
State budgets are as they Italians say "SLEEPING WITH THA FISHES". Cities and rural governments are already selling their Grandma's silverware to makeup for losses in revenue from the pandemic THAT BLEW UP OUT OF CONTROL BECAUSE OF TRUMP'S DISREGARD FOR SCIENCE AND STUPIDITY.
3. Trump "proposes" student loan payments differed until Dec. That's just about 20 weeks away. If Trump thinks our health professionals will have effective treatment, or a vaccine for this virus by December HE'S PROBABLY SMOKING HYDROXY-CHLOROQUINE !!!
Students aren't going to be back at their $7 per hour face-to-face jobs in 20 weeks. A small sample of schools have reopened and already there are mass outbreaks of CoV19 in the hallways. Trump is ignorant to think life will be back to normal by December.
4. Trump actually signed something, it's not an executive order, some thing saying he "suggests" lower courts and mortgage companies not proceed with evictions YET.
Ok, being a small scale landlord I can tell you this. If my Tenants miss a couple rent payments my mailbox and my phone will be ABLAZE with threats of eviction. Not from me, from the banks I owe. This billionaire idiot "suggesting" to his billionaire supporters, MANY OF WHICH ARE THE ONES WHO OWN THE MORTGAGE NOTES to not kick people out on the streets, is like Hitler telling his guards to "not turn the gas up all the way".
That is also a nothing, meaningless, futile, flaccid, good-for-absolutely-nothing "suggestion".
Got news for all of us... if this sickness keeps rising, most of us will find out the greediest bastards who hold titles to our properties will want them back so they can sell them. They will kick all of us on the street and laugh about a "suggestion" from Trump.
