Agents for Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Kansas City, Mo., are under scrutiny for smashing a vehicle window to drag a man set for deportation out of it in front of his children.

The 30-minute encounter between ICE agents and Florencio Millan was caught on tape by his partner, Cheyenne Hoyt, and posted on Facebook.

Throughout the incident, Hoyt told immigration activists and others who gathered in a church, ICE agents refused to give the name of the person they were seeking, nor did they display a warrant when asked. Kansas City police were also on hand, ostensibly backing up the federal agents in their work.

The arrest took place in front of the couple’s 7-month-old baby, who they were taking to the doctor, and their 11-year-old son, who was crying for his father.
