WTF?

"We must rally behind president Trump to secure his third term" Rep Senator Lauren Boebert

REPUBLICANS ARE THREATENING TO SUPPORT A DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION TWENTY-SECOND AMENDMENT LIMITING ALL PRESIDENTS TO EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE!!!!!!!

Commentary:

Bill Maher hosts the HBO show "Real Time with Bill Maher" (2003–present). He's known to cut things straight down the middle when it comes to political party affiliation. He says when he is asked why he doesn't want to join the Republican Party he responds: "Because I don't want to live in North Korea".

Maher is referring to the second most corrupt, impoverished, communistic country on Earth where political, military and private citizens vow loyalty to Kim Jong Un, a dictator Trump says he "admires". A dictator who not only murders his own citizens if they commit the crime of disobedience but is believed by global intelligence agencies to have ordered the 2017 murder of his half-brother, Kim Jong-nam for the same crime.

Lauren Boebert is a Republican U.S. Representative for Colorado. She's a staunch conservative who advocates for gun rights and traditional family values. By "gun rights" I mean ineffectual weak laws that allow guns to thrive despite proven dangers. The text book definition of traditional family values is "marriage between a man and a woman, distinct gender roles, self-reliance, religious faith, and respect for elders". But you may wonder why someone who preaches those values is supporting Trump. A man who has been married three times and has public histories of acknowledged infidelity. Trump's foul public language, brash demeanor, and mass of legal battles—such as his criminal conviction involving hush money payments to an adult film star he had an affair with while his Wife was home pregnant! — are viewed by many Americans to be "traditional SCUM BAG VALUES".

Trump supporters may think he's "Polly Pure Bread" but he's done very little to support "Traditional families". His administration has nothing to improve housing affordability or expanding childcare flexibility, workers benefits, blah blah blah...

But this, this is danger. Republicans threatening our ability to oust a president who is clearly terrible for all Americans, while being supported by the wealthy. A true "WTF?" moment in U.S. history!

SECTION ONE: "No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once."

SECTION TWO: "This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years from the date of its submission to the States by the Congress."

HISTORY: The 22nd Amendment was proposed in 1947 and ratified in 1951 to formally limit U.S. presidents to two four-year terms. It was in direct response to President Franklin D. Roosevelt breaking the traditional two-term limit by being elected to an unprecedented four terms during the Great Depression and World War II.

PURPOSE: The 22nd Amendment was created to prevent dictatorships: Lawmakers were concerned that without term limits, an entrenched president could accumulate too much power and potentially morph into a lifetime dictator. The 22nd Amendment was created to protect Democracy:

TRADITION: Codifying Tradition: It formalized the unwritten "two-term tradition" originally established by George Washington when he voluntarily stepped down after his second term in 1796. George Washington planned to retire at the end of his first term in 1792. However, close advisers like James Madison and Thomas Jefferson urged him to run again. They argued his leadership was needed to keep the young, fragile country united and stable. He agreed and won unanimously.

When George Washington was asked to run for a third term he said he believed a lifelong or extended presidency was too similar to being a king.

Flash to the 250th year of the U.S. Republic... a wannabe King wants to rule POORLY indefinitely.
