DEADLY MISHAPS IN MANUFACTURING
ESCALATE AS TRUMP’S CANCELATIONS OF
SAFEGUARD REGULATIONS TAKE A TOLL
Commentary:

DEFINITIONS:

"Commercial regulations" are rules of conduct created to maintain a stable workplace, to ensure employee safety, guarantee fair compensation, and prevent discrimination. They act as essential guardrails to protect workers and consumers from unsafe products and deceptive practices, prevent monopolies, and ensure businesses compete on a level playing field.

"Environmental regulations are rules necessary to protect public health, conserve finite natural resources, and prevent severe ecological damage. Without them, unregulated industrial activity would lead to unchecked pollution, disproportionately harm vulnerable communities, and ultimately threaten long-term global sustainability

In Trump's "save money, reduce safeguards" world "regulations" are unnecessary. They're a drain an industry's overhead that reduces profits. To Trump safety is no concern. Regulations are evil.

In the past year we've seen engines falling off of airplanes, collisions on airport runways, military aircraft colliding with other military and commercial aircraft. We've seen auto companies reverting back to cars that create higher levels destructive pollution. We've seen energy corporations allowed to remove filters on waste water dumped into rivers that contain LONG TERM CANCER CAUSING CHEMICALS. We've seen space ships blowing up in orbit reigning debrit down that will eventually wipe out entire towns.

We've seen explosions in toxic chemical plants occurring within just feet of people's homes. Two of these have happened in the past few days. In California a large tank containing methyl methacrylate at an aerospace company forced 50,000 peopel to evacuate. Many of those people were unaware of the existence of this chemical storage tank that could have created an explosion with a half-mile blast radius!

Yesturday it was confirmed at least 10 people died in Longview Washington when a large tank containing a chemical mixture used in paper-making processes and can cause severe burns exploded. Many other people sustained severe third degree burns. In almost every facit of our lives we've seen people adopt a "care less" regard for public safety. A good example is the Air Traffic Control systems at public airports. One of Trump's first acts of sabotage in his second term was to fire hundreds of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees and probationary employees. In January 2025, Trump fired TSA Administrator David Pekoske, dismissed all members of the Aviation Security Advisory Committee, and subsequently executed hundreds of probationary FAA layoffs that impacted support staff. The cuts impacted support staff, including radar and navigation maintenance mechanics, aviation technical system specialists, flight procedures team members, and aeronautical information specialists.

Just weeks after this corruption of the FAA 67 people were killed in a crash at Washington D.C.'s Reagan International Airport when an Army Black Hawk helicopter that was flying above restricted airspace collided in the approach path of an American Airlines regional jet.

Oh "too bad" huh? All these accidents are "part of life". You can bet Trump says in private, And, those corporations are "saving money". As if living tax-free isn't enough!

Trump's ethics revolve around one thing MORE MORE MORE MONEY. He doesn't care if a school full of children is bombed or if families lose their loved ones in explosions, fires and "less regulated" working conditions.

The CEO's who go to work in fancy offices miles from the manufacturing facilities are loving Trump's decisions and these avoidable catastrophes will continue to increase until the Democrats, the party who historically has proven to care more about people's safety than corporate bottom lines.
