Trump has now repeated two conflicting statements several times.

"it’ll go away soon" "we can’t stay closed for 5 years"

Those tell us his true feelings of how long CoV19 will be killing us. "real soon" isn't "5 years". So, in the meantime before effective treatments, before a vaccine Trump has talked his base into forcing a reopen.

One Trump supporter held up a sign during a reopen protest this past weekend saying "I'd rather die free than oppressed".

"oppressed". Like those people we see in horror films who know there's a mass murderer just outside their door... but someone warns them to not go outside... that's "oppressed???"

No, ignoring valid warnings of harm is just stupid.

Let's hope these early numbers are a fleeting trend from April's infections. If not, we're F**KED!!!
