Commentary:

What a coverup. brilliant. Trump appoints William Barr who tries to dismiss 485 pages of guilt and shame... Nice try. Trump is fried.

I will give William Barr one out though. If Robert Mueller and William Barr truly realize the weight of these crimes committed by the President of the United States they also realize the damage and dangers coming. Nobody wants to be the person who pulls the trigger on an event that will result in years, decades of court battles, protests, probably even violence. The public will react to the guilty verdicts, the Trump supporters will react to him being prosecuted.

But, Mr. Mueller and Mr. Barr have to realize one thing. They didn't start this. This was started by a rich, self-loving high brow bone spur "law dodger" who really has no respect for laws, our country and any of us citizens.

The worse crime to society by far would be to let Trump get away with his crimes.

FOR THE RECORD:

Mueller's report is clear. Trump committed at least 10 acts of Obstruction of Justice. A federal offense. It goes on to make clear how those acts fit the criteria of legal actionable Obstruction of Justice, regardless of the office of President.

The federal crime of obstruction three elements:

* An obstructive act

* A 'nexus' between the obstructive act and an official proceeding. (Nexus def: a connection)

* Corrupt intent. The “official proceeding” does not have to exist yet—it can be “pending or contemplated”—and the “nexus” need only be “a relationship in time, causation, or logic.
