Today is a sad day. We are about to see our 10,000th person die in a health care facility. Due to the number of undercounted CoV19 deaths it is most likely this has already happened. This, while we have a "not-a-president" who stands in front of cameras and press every day boasting about what a "great" "tremendous" "unprecedented" job he's done to protect us. PURE BULLS**T.
Our post today is one we were not looking forward to. This 10,000 mark was coming rapidly. And, almost every day we've seen the number of deaths, the bodies.. the families touching their parents, loved ones through glass windows increasing. One out of every 10 nursing/acute/convalescent facility in the USA is reporting cases of CoronaVirus. People who work at these intermediate hospital facilities are dying too. They too, have been begging for masks, gloves... One nurse said during a nightly news interview she could not bare the sadness and the thought of being one of the people who may have been spreading the virus to people she cared for was "devastating".
CoV19 was destined to destroy lives in these places of care. And the virus got a big hand from this person who was chosen to "protect our country from all threats". He failed, and we are now witnessing fatal consequences.
Hope to hell you never find yourself in a deadly situation where people made decisions about your life based on MONEY.
Trump gloated about his "Booming economy" but people saw all he did was rob from health care, public assistance, environmental controls, green investments, food stamps... etc etc etc. He funneled those funds into a bottom line that looked like our country was "great again".
it all turned out to be money "musical chairs"
and corona stopped the music.
It is truly sad seeing acute care facilities on the news wheeling body after body out into coroner vans. Horrific stories of family members not being allowed into nursing homes to see their Mothers, Fathers, family members because of fear they will "bring the infection into the home..." but all along it's most likely the staff accidentally spread CoV19 from patient to patient.
"Death traps" as one reporter described a home in New Jersey where 90 percent of the patients and staff tested positive for the virus.
Another was reported to have had so many people dying they could not keep up and resorted to literally "piling the bodies in a back room".
These are Americans. People who worked all their lives, raised families... contributed to our "once great nation". Treated with indignity.
Worse. Imagine the weight on the staff members of these facilities. Knowing they don't have enough masks, gowns, sanitizing sprays.
and imagine how the final death blow was delivered by Donald Trump, a billionaire who has had people serve him all is life... TELLING HEALTH CARE FACILITIES THEY WILL SAVE MONEY BY CUTTING PROCEDURES TO PROTECT THEIR PATIENTS.
No, our country is not "great again". Our country has been turned into a highly profitable DEATH ZONE.
Hope the billionaires who have reaped from Trump's initiatives take a good long look in the mirror right now.
Their profits have the blood of all these poor people who have died in the "care" of others.
Sad.
If your parents are alive, give them a big hug... when it's safe.
