DHS Trump appointee Pam Bondi, shown in the post taking the constitutionally mandated oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution against all foreign and domestic enemies, exposed her improper handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case files. She's now implicated in a possible "cover-up" to protect prominent figures. Because of her pace of release, heavy redactions, and her public statements regarding the documents she's facing potential charges of misconduct in public office. Maybe she'll share a prison cell with Prince Andrew?
Three weeks ago appointed loyalists in our Department of "Justice", who Trump replaced independent career investigators with, made this official claim:
“Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims against president Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election. To be clear the claims are unfounded and false and if they had a shred of credibility they certainly would have been weaponized against president Trump already”.
Let's break that statement down with a court-room scapula. (No, I am not an Attorney, you don't need to be to understand these cuts)
The most troubling word in the statement is "already". That was thrown in to imply there was nothing credible enough to bring these charges to light. Trump has feverishly paid hundreds of millions of dollars to his legal teams to DELAY DELAY DELAY legal actions. A good analogy would be if ANY pitchers on a team in the world series were not allowed to leave the dugout until the 9th inning. The other team would boast about scoring runs by default because of the other teams "delay of game". No, this is not a "already" moment. This is a "FINALLY" moment!.
Next insult to common sense: "if they had a shred of credibility". This is truly a disgusting smear against the 20, 30, 50 who knows how many Women who have had their lives impacted negatively due to their brave decisions to come forth about the crimes committed by Epstein and [allegedly] the world's most devious pathological liar, Trump. We've seen a Victim statement saying she and her family were threatened [allegedly] BY TRUMP that if she spoke about his [ALLEGED] rape and assaults they would quote "disappear". You have to consider the dangers these Women have been subjected to. To think people risk "disappearing" and the notion they did this just to make false claims for any reason is not probable.
Back to the beginning: "Some of the documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims"... is that a judgement? was that judgement the product of an impartial trial or tribune? No, that is a smoke-screen judgement on par with Mark Furman's "judgements" that helped a murderer go free.
REFERENCE: Mark Fuhrman was an LAPD detective who discovered key evidence, including a bloody glove, at O.J. Simpson's estate in the 1994 murder case. His credibility was destroyed when the defense proved he used racist language and lied under oath, leading to accusations that he planted evidence, which severely damaged the prosecution's case.
Last December republican Trump "loyalist" Marjorie Taylor Greene, who stood by him spouting MAGA BS, who screamed at the top of her lungs for him, who condemned "radical leftists" who suspected Trump of being a criminal, resigned after she says she was pressured by Trump to not have these files released. She resigned because she and her family had been threatened. We are far beyond circumstantial evidence now people!
Last summer Trump attempted to shut down NPR and MSNBC. We are seeing why.
