After Congress was briefed about this disturbing situation Trump immediately began trying to cover it up. He “berated” the the superior who presented the facts. "The messenger", Director of National Intelligence, retired Vice Admiral Joseph Maguire, over the briefing and its conclusions.
According to the New York Times who received information from people directly involved in U.S. Intelligence, Trump was incensed that Congress had received the briefing at all, and worried that Democrats might “weaponize” the news for political purposes ahead of the 2020 election.
Mr. Trump, we don't “weaponize” facts... the criminals (you) who create the facts “weaponize” them.
Within 48 hours of the briefing Trump fired Maguire and appointed a Trump loyalist, Richard Grenell. Trump's other loyalists dismiss this as "a timing coincidence"... People with brains see that not only was this just more of Trump's sniveling pitiful ways of eliminating people who see truths, but also note that Grenell has NO EXPERIENCE managing or even working the intelligence community.
Of course we all know that "intelligence" is not required of anyone working with Trump. In fact, people who are "intelligent" tend to research and draw conclusions about Trump's wrongful terminations of ethical professionals.
Just another, daily attack against our channels of justice by a spoiled wanna-be Dictator. And, we all know where this is leading. When a Dictator tries to lead his country with an iron fist he turns to dust.
